  • VAT reforms expanded nationwide

    The State Council announced a widening of VAT reforms to include more businesses and regions to come into effect on August 1 of this year. The reform will replace a turnover tax with a value-added duty in transport and some service sectors, and will be extended from the current 15 provinces and municipalities covered to the whole country, according to a statement from the State Council.
